About Haighs
Stephen and Debra Haigh have lived in Hervey Bay since 1988, established their business in 1989 and married in 1990. They have four children and both have always been the mainstay of their business.
They originally worked from their home while their children were being born. They worked from home for approximately 7 years then moved out into a small retail front in Pialba. They worked in this premises for 6 years, all the time their business was continually growing. Their move to their current premises in 2002 was a major move for them. Their staff has steadily increased with them. All their staff have been handpicked and are of the highest caliber.
It was originally called Stephen Haigh Jeweller, and and quite a few years ago had a slight name change to Haigh’s Jewellers. Stephen is a Manufacturing Jeweller and Debra is a Registered Valuer. ‘Haigh’s Jewellers’ is a boutique style store with the emphasis on quality items, high level skills & personalised service.Our retail premises’ is a unique showroom, exuding charm and elegance. It is a joy in itself just to walk in the door, one you need to experience to believe.
Stephen has been working on the bench for 33 years and does all types of work including repairs, remodelling, renovating & specialises in unique handcrafted designs. We design to our clients specifications and create their dreams.
Our designing of your jewellery is a journey you will enjoy immensely. It is a very personal experience, with your input being very important. It is an honour for us to take you on that path, with us being just as excited with the finished item as you are. Our standard of workmanship is very high as is our after sales service. The pieces we make, and you, become part of our family & we always look after our family.
Debra is a Registered Valuer, Gemmologist, Diamond Grader & Diamond Technologist. A Registered Valuer is a very professional person these days with many years of study under their belt. Apart from valuing, Debra specialises in finding just that right gemstone you are searching for, specialising in Natural gemstones.
Between the two of them there is not much they cannot do. Their work ethos is to not only give old fashioned service, but also to give a great deal of knowledge to the client so they may make informed decisions.
At Haigh’s Jewellers, our clientèle is far reaching with clients travelling many kilometres to visit us, utilizing an enjoyable weekend in lovely Hervey Bay.
